The Standard racks up 16 APA awards

The Greenville Standard recently brought home a total of five first place awards for the year 2022 in Division D from the Alabama Press Association.

In total, for first, second, and third place, The Standard racked up 16 awards.

Division D is classified as a non-daily newspaper (publishing less than three days/week) with a total paid circulation of 3,000 or below.

From the editorial category, there were four first place awards, which included: Best Editorial Page or Section, Best Lifestyle/Family Pages, Best Use of Photographs/Editorial Content, and Best Sports Single Event Story.

The Standard gathered one second place editorial award for Best Sports Photo.

Third place editorial awards included Best Layout and Design, Best Editorial, Best Sports News In-Depth Coverage, and General Excellence.

From the advertising category, there was one first place award for Best Innovative Online Advertising – Single ad.

There were three second place awards and they included: Advertising Sweepstakes, Best Classified Display Ad, and Best Use of Humor.

The Standard also brought home three third place for Best Original/Creative Idea, Best Classified Display Ad, and Best Presentation of Online Advertising.
