Mr. Melvin B. Tindal, born on May 5, 1933, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 93.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 11, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Reverend David Wood officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m.

Mr. Tindal proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a kind, patient, and loving man who touched the lives of many. He especially enjoyed baking and cooking for family holiday gatherings, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Tindal; and his children, Helen Newton and David Tindal; his parents, Labon and Beatrice Tindal; and his brothers, William Brian Tindal, Grady O. Tindal, and John Frank Tindal.

Mr. Tindal is survived by his daughters, Peggy Tindal and Judy Holder; his son, Donnie Butts; his grandchildren, Rhonda Wallace, Kelly Newton, Heather Carman, AnnaLee Newton, Kimberly Newton, Amber Mullins, and Farren Knotts; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Mr. Tindal will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His gentle spirit, unwavering patience, and steadfast love for his family will forever be remembered. His legacy of kindness, service, and devotion to those he loved will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
