DOROTHY SUE PITTS

March 16, 1928 – Feb. 8, 2025

Dorothy Sue Pitts, 96, a resident of Georgiana, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 12, beginning at 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Buddy Williams and Bro. Tim Boggs officiating and Johnson Funeral directing. Burial followed in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Cemetery, Evergreen. The family received friends for visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Alex Pitts; daughters, Marilyn Pitts Brannon and Dorothy Melissa Pitts; parents, Zollie and Lillie Coker; and brother, Samuel Terry Coker.

Mrs. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Mary Cathryn Pitts; son-in-law, Jimmy R. Brannon; granddaughter, Melissa Brannon; grandson, Matthew Brannon; sister-in-law, Carolyn R Coker; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
