The Greenville High Tigers claimed their third victory of the season this past Friday night under clear skies against the winless Thunderbirds of Park Crossing, 19-7.

The navy, scarlet, and white Thunderbirds flew into Tiger Stadium with hopes for a first win but the Tigers took control early and quieted any thunder.

In the first quarter, with under a minute left, Tiger Cedric Morris gave Greenville its first points on a one yard rush.

Park Crossing answered Greenville in kind with a one yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter with less than a minute before the halftime.

After halftime, the Tigers defense stiffened and held Park Crossing scoreless for the rest of the game.

Greenville increased their lead in the third quarter on a Tiger Calderious Williams 58-yard rushing touchdown.

The Tigers final points came on a pick six interception midway through the fourth quarter.

Greenville completed the regular season with a 3-7 record.
