SAM SMITH

Funeral services for the late Mr. Sam Smith were held on Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Hudson Funeral Services with Rev. Lathan Burrell officiating. Burial followed in McIntosh Cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services, Camden, directed.

Mr. Sam Smith was born Sept. 3, 1947 to the late Mr. Fred (Lucy) Smith in Prairie. He attended school at Prairie Mission, Prairie, Ala. He was a firm God fearing praying man that loved fishing, music, hunting, and fixing on his truck. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Smith.

He departed this life Feb. 20 in Fort Walton Beach. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Mamie M. Smith; five step children, Abraham Murphy, Lorenzo (Shelia) Murphy, Wanda Murphy, Michael (Marcia) Murphy and Broderick Murphy; two brothers, Frank (Jonah) Smith and George Smith; two sisters, Betty Smith and Josephine Smith; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
