HENRY L. MOYE SR.

 

Funeral services for the late Mr. Henry L. Moye Sr. were held on March 11 at 11 a.m. from Apple Grove Baptist Church, Vredenburgh, Ala., Rev. Calvin Feagin, officiated. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services, Camden directed.

Mr. Henry L. Moye Jr., was born on Nov. 25, 1941 to the late Mr. Henry L. (Cladonia) Moye. At an early age Henry joined St. Emmanuel Baptist Church and later joined Apple Grove Baptist Church.

He was united in Holy matrimony to the late Mrs. Ruby George Moye. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wash Shoemaker, Willie Huff and Jimmy Moye; four sisters, Clevera Blackmon, Mary Moye, Marie Moye and Essie Mae Moye. He departed this life on March 2 at his home.

He leaves to cherish his memories four sons, Eugene Moye, Vredenburgh, Lee (Cathy), Arthur, James Blackmon, all of Coy, Anthony Blackmon, Birmingham; seven daughters, Christine George, Atlanta, Ga., Betty (Clarence) Moye, Camden, Pricilla (Michael) Castophney, Delois (Johnaton) Clausell, Vanessa (Ben) Luker, all of Vredenburgh,  and Annie Blackmon and Mary  Atwood, both of Camden; three adopted children, Mary Ann Williams, Nancy Williams, both of Vredenburgh and Margaret Taylor, Flint, Mich.; sister, Elouise (Willie) Lewis, Vredenburgh; brother, Edward Moye, Montgomery;  thirteen sister-in-laws, Thelma Kennedy Bell, Alma George, Janice Rankon, Marilyn Rogers, Lois Osborne, Dorathea Carstarphen, Catherine Morrissette, Freida Kennedy, Stella Marshall, Josephine Crum, Annie P.

Cunningham, Katie Edwards and Belinda Wingate; six brother-in-laws, Robert George, J.D., Lawyer, Clarence Morrisett, Earl Rogers and Mosel Rogers; a host of grandchildren, great- grand children, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
