Mr. David Scott Knight, 52, a resident of Greenville, died at his home Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021. The funeral service was Sunday, Aug. 22, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Brother Randy Harville and Brother Rickey Crysell officiating. Dunklin Funeral Home directed. Visitation was from 1:30 – 3 p.m. at Dunklin Funeral Home.
Scott was a faithful Christian, an avid Auburn fan and sportsman, and a member of the Georgiana Mason Lodge No. 270 F. & A.M. Scott was proud of his career as a driller in the oil industry, drilling wells as deep as 25,000 feet and running several strings of casings in excess of 1,000,000 pounds.
Scott was preceded in death by his mothers, Lucille McNeil and Bonnie Walters; his father, David Knight; and his brother, Steve Knight.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Pastrana-Knight; daughter, Shae Pastrana (William Royal); son, Harley Knight; nieces, (reared by Juanita and Scott), Laila, Savannah, Haley, and Jolee; sisters, Melisa Campbell (Todd) of Spanish Fort and Jackie Toole (Joe) of Montgomery; nephews, Greyson Toole and Camden Campbell; nieces, Gracey Toole and Allie Carson Campbell, and others; mother-in-law, Justilia Rodriguez; aunts, Betty Hosmer, Barbara Ellison, and Betty Ray; and cousin, Trish Burkett.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted at Community Neighbor Bank in care of Julie Swann/Knight Memorial Fund.
