Funeral service for Kimberly Compton, 50, of Greenville, was held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 with Brother Larry Gaston officiating. Burial follow at Providence Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday night. Mrs. Compton passed away Friday in Greenville.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Johnny Compton; children, Zackery Compton, Johnathan Compton (Alex), Tyler Compton, and Elizabeth Compton; siblings, Shawn Owens, Devin Owens (Katherine), and Crystal Reynolds (Chris); mother, Nelda Faye Owens; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Owens; grandparents, William Ralph Owens and Annie Jean Owens.

Pallbearers were Jacob Purvis, Zachary Purvis, Micheal McNeil, Christopher Reynolds, and Michael Phillips. She was a longtime member of Providence United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, camping, and loved her pets. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister.
