Ocean signs with Southern Union

Greenville High School alumi, Jovala Ocean, has signed to continue her basketball career at Southern Union State Community College. Ocean averaged 13 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals per game. She reached a career high and set a school record of 20 assists in one game vs Notasulga. GHS head coach SaRhonda Cheatham said to Ocean, “Superstar, I am so proud of you! You will be a force to be reckoned with. You have the nastiest dish off I’ve ever seen and can see the floor like none other. Coach Taylor is lucky to have you and I am looking forward in seeing how you produce on the collegiate level.” (Photo submitted)
