McKenzie dominates Pleasant Home

The McKenzie Tigers travelled to Pleasant Home to take on the Eagles under the Friday night lights.
The Eagles were unable to establish control and the green and McKenzie took a big win 50-8.
The Tigers received the kick off but fumbled mid field and the Eagles recovered with good field position.
Pleasant Home attempted to capitalize off the fumble but another turn over recovered by Tiger Chris Shufford took possession back to McKenzie with 9:12 on the clock.
The Tigers were the first on the scoreboard with a safety and McKenzie opens the board 2-0. Tiger Quay Jackson quickly scored with a quarterback keeper widening the lead 10-0 following a two point conversion.
The Eagles were just unable to dig in and the Tigers forced another turnover with 1:10 on the clock in the first quarter.
Tiger Skylar Sanders grabbed a long pass deep in the red zone and dashed to the end zone. This was called back for a penalty against the Tigers but this did not deter the offense.
Sanders caught another pass and after a long run scored again for the Tigers. McKenzie led 18-0 at the sound of the first quarter end.
The Tigers continued to control the field throughout the second quarter and led 26-0 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Sanders made a 70-yard run to the end zone but was called back on a penalty against McKenzie.
Tiger Johnny Davison made up for the penalty and scored quickly in the third quarter. The Tigers increase their lead 34-0.
The Eagles were able to reach the end zone with 15 second left on the clock in the forth quarter and avoided a shut out by McKenzie.
Willsey completed the night with 102 rushing yards with two touchdowns and 20 receiving yards. Davison completed the night with 89 rushing yards with two touchdowns. Jay Jackson completed the evening with two touchdowns.
The McKenzie Tigers will host the Kinston Bulldogs this Friday night for homecoming at 7 p.m.
