BETTY JOYCE WARD

Betty Joyce Ward, a resident of Fort Deposit, passed away on Nov. 22, 2024, at the age of 92.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Bruce Coker officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial followed in Myrtlewood Cemetery. The family received friends for visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home from 5-7:00 p.m.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ward, Sr.; her parents, Rankin and Lucille Seale; son, Lamar Langley; and daughter, Vivian Langley.

She is survived by her children, Lee Langley (fiancée, Alicia Walker), Alan Langley (Kathy), Gordan Ward (Beth), and Bill Ward, Jr. (Glenda); nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
