HENRY LAVELL HOUSTON

Henry Lavell Houston, affectionally known as Pop, Hubert, and Hube, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who adored his wife and family. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being in the woods in general. He lived a full, happy life, never meeting a stranger and loved by all who knew him. Lavell was the proud owner of Houston Pest Control for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Susan Hollis Houston; his son, Dustin (Kayla) Houston; his grandchildren, Chandler Hatch, Brodie, Branson, and Beau Houston; his brother, Ken (Joellen); nephew, Trent (Laura) Houston; niece, Andrea Houston; and a number of great nieces and nephews

The family received friends on Dec. 16, beginning at 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m. at Morrow Schoolhouse Cemetery with Bro. Randy Harvill officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing.
