It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lenny Newton, aged 67, on April 5, 2025, a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Newton was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Barlow Newton.

Lenny is survived by his son, Chad Newton (Catherine), and his parents, Barbara and Leonard Newton; two grandchildren, Cooper Newton and Emma Newton; sister, Tammy Duncan (Jeff); brother, Neil Newton; and extended family and friends.

He grew up in Greenville and played college baseball at Patrick Henry Community College. He ended up with a career in insurance with ALFA until he retired in 2022. He was loved by everyone and served his community well. His favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved spending quality time with his family especially his two grandkids.
