JERRY DILLARD BROOKS

Mr. Jerry Dillard Brooks, 71, a resident of McKenzie, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. He was born on Dec. 27, 1953.

Dillard was a gentle, kind, and loving man who was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially to his mother throughout her lifetime. He loved to watch TV and will always be remembered for reading his TV guides every week.

Dillard was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Junior and Lorene Brooks of McKenzie; brother, Curtis Jesse Brooks; and sister Sharon Brooks, both of McKenzie.

He is survived by his sister, Alene Tolbert of McKenzie; brother, Norman (Diane) Brooks of Red Level; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana with Brother Tyree Bowen officiating. The family accepted friends for visitation beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, until time of service. Graveside services followed at South Butler Cemetery in McKenzie with Johnson Funeral Home directing.
