VERNON WATSON HOOD

Mr. Vernon Watson Hood, age 76, a resident of Georgiana, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, Nov. 29, beginning at 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bryon Ward officiating. Burial followed in Providence Cemetery, Georgiana, with Johnson Funeral Home directing. The family received friends for visitation on Friday, Nov. 28, from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.

Mr. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Zell Watson and Madi Orene Hood.

Mr. Vernon is survived by his wife of 56 years, Diann Hood; son, Michael (Lisa) Hood; grandchildren, Matthew Hood, Christopher Hood, Bailey Hood, and Luke Hood; and sister, Vernice Josey.

Pallbearers were Matthew Hood, Chris Hood, Luke Hood, Joey Lee, Matt Cobb, and Buck Lee.
