CARRIE LEE SELLERS NORSWORTHY

Aug. 14, 1933 – April 20, 2026

Carrie Lee Sellers Norsworthy, 92, of Georgiana, passed away on April 20, 2026, in her home. Born Aug. 14, 1933, to Rev. and Mrs. Neaz Edward Sellers, Carrie’s life was a testament to love, laughter, family, and community.

Carrie attended Howard College, now Samford University in Birmingham and afterward married Arthur Ray Norwsorthy. As a life-long resident of Georgiana, Carrie gained joy through serving her community in various civic and church organizations over the years.

Carrie also shared her gift and love of flowers with so many. She spent 40 years in the floral industry, providing beauty through her talented wedding florals and comfort to those grieving a loss. She not only shared this love with her community but also her daughter, who spent many years working with her before continuing Carrie’s legacy on her own.

After her retirement, she enjoyed helping her daughter with florals, traveling with her son and daughter-in-law, and weekends with her grandchildren at the family farm where she and her husband retired.

Carrie’s greatest treasure was her family. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother and great-grandmother who never missed an opportunity to be there for those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Hilton Sellers; and her granddaughter-in-law Michelle Hinton Norsworthy.

She is survived by her loving children, Donald Norsworthy (Becky) and Sheryl Norsworthy Perdue (Kenny); grandchildren, Candace Norsworthy Murphy (Joe), Nick Norsworthy, Laura Sellers Perdue Brooks (Trent), and Mary Sanford Perdue Brandes (Michael); and her seven great-grandchildren, James Wade, Caroline, Will Watson, Dawson, Hilton, Everett, and Brooks.

Her graveside service was held Sunday, April 26, at 3:30 p.m. at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Georgiana, with Bro. Randy Harville officiating. Pallbearers were Nick Norsworthy, Joe Murphy, James Wade Murphy, Randal Sims, Ken Murphy, and Gene Hudson.

The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their care of Carrie and comfort for her loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mount Pisgah Church, 7452 Pineapple Hwy., Greenville, AL 36037.
