Hank Williams celebration is just a few days away, 30 days to be precise, and scheduled for June 5 and 6.
The folks in Georgiana are gearing up with what looks to be another exciting celebration with headliners like Joe Nichols, Easton Corbin, and up and coming Colin Stough, who finished third on American Idol two years ago.
Stough will open for Joe Nichols Saturday night and The Dalton Bush Band will open for Easton Corbin on Friday night.
Locals like Curk Mosley will play both nights and McKenzie’s own Mason Browder and his band will play Saturday night.
An all-star lineup includes Mama Jean and the Perch Jerkers, and On the Rocks from Auburn followed by Starla Jones.
Kyle Haynes who chairs the Hank Williams Music Festival said, “The Hank Williams Fan Club will have Hank the Man play on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning with the old time country music so we’re staying true to our roots.
“We’re going to have some younger talent to attract obviously the younger generation. It should be a really great celebration.”
If you purchase your tickets early it’s $80 for both days, however, individually it’s forty dollars $40 for Friday and $60 for Saturday.
There will be plenty of food offered via a multitude of food trucks and vendors for both days. The Hank Williams Fan Club Campground will open early starting Monday, June 1, for only $35 a night plus a $35 deposit.
