Karen Lynette Whittington, a resident of Greenville, passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 54.

Graveside services were held Saturday, May 16, beginning at 11 a.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Stacey Gaston officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Vinson E. McIntyre; father-in-law, Reeford Whittington; and niece, Ansley Smithart.

She is survived by her husband, David Whittington; step-daughter, Jodie (Melvin) Perez; her mother, Katie McIntyre; her sisters, Brenda (Randall) Browder and Shonda (Justin) Smithart; and step-grandchildren, Cameron Whittington, Camden Perez, and Mia Perez; mother-in-law, Marie Whittington; brother-in-law, Joseph (Wanda) Whittington; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
