Hay, Greenville!

And Hay, America! This red, white, and beautiful celebration of our country’s 250th birthday is brought to you by Georgia-Lynn Lowe. Georgia just graduated from high school and will be attending Lurleen B Wallace Community College here in Greenville in the fall. An accomplished horse woman, Georgia spent two and a half hours painting her horse, Chocolate Cake, and braiding her mane for this wonderful patriotic tribute. Chocolate Cake’s registered name is “McCurdy’s Triple C” is a lovely example of the well-known breed from Lowndes County. This fantastic photo taken by her aunt Alicia will be a great memory to share with future generations, perhaps even her own grandchildren, when the tricentennial rolls around in 2076.
