McKenzie on a roll

The 1A McKenzie Tigers (5-0) hosted the 1A J.F. Shields Panthers (1-5) for homecoming under the rainy Friday night lights.

Shields dug in for the fight but the Tigers dominated the game and claimed the win 50-6 and remain undefeated.

It was the fourth game McKenzie scored 50 points or better.

Tiger Jolon Warren-Davis finished the evening with 48 receiving yards, while Tiger Quay Jackson finished with 95 yards passing.

Tiger Ayden Willsey completed the evening with 128-yards rushing and Tiger Cameron Merritt had 31-yards rushing for the offense.

McKenzie had a total of 218 rushing yards and 126 passing yards.

McKenzie will next host the red and white Eagles of Pleasant Home, who are 2-3 on the season this Friday night, with a 7 p.m. kick-off.

The Eagles losses came from Geneva County, Brantley, and Florala.
