JAMES E. BROOKS

Brooks, James E., 83, a resident of Georgiana passed away on Aug. 29. A Celebration of Life was held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 3 at McKenzie Baptist Church. Burial followed in South Butler Cemetery in McKenzie with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements. A gathering of family and friends was held at 10 a.m. until service time.

Survivors include: daughter, Gloria Brooks Powe of McKenzie; sons, George Brooks of Fayetteville, N.C., Terry Brooks, James Flint Brooks , both of Georgiana, Otis Dean Brooks of Gantt; sister, Audrey Peavy of McKenzie; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
