WILLIAM LEE MONTEE
William Lee Montee, age 47, passed away Friday, March 3 at East Alabama Regional Medical Center. He was born in Pensacola, Fla. on Jan. 23, 1970 and resided most of his life throughout the state of Alabama.
Lee was one of the most likeable people you could ever meet. He could meet you in the morning, and be best friends before lunch. Lee’s laughter and story-telling was unmatched and will never be forgotten. He loved to talk sports and fire up any one who wore crimson and hounds tooth.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mildred McKinley; father, Rex Montee and brother, Josh Montee.
Lee is survived by his three children, Billy (Claire), Matthew and Lexi Montee; wife Kim Montee; parents Jim and Marlene Blossfield and Marge Montee; sister Staci (Larry) Skoda; brothers Richie (Mandy) Montee, Brian (Janet) Blossfield and Michael Montee; grandfather Leon McKinley as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service was held Monday March 6 at 11 a.m. at Enon Baptist Church in Camden with Brother Mike Yancey officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Camden directing. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral. Pallbearers were be Matthew Montee, Billy Montee, Jim Blossfield, Larry Skoda, Stuart McGraw, Casey McGraw, Hunter Lambert and Will Bozeman.
Honorary Pallbearers were Roger Elliot, Ric Lambert, Bob Lujano, and Johnathon Hicks.
