JOHN HOWELL KELLEY

John Howell Kelley, born on Feb. 20, 1936, died on Nov. 2, 2022. John was born and raised in Forest Home, Alabama, and was a lifelong resident of Greenville. John had a long and successful career as a general contractor in and around Greenville.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clifton and Nannie Godwin Kelley; sister, Margaret Louise Kelley; brothers, Robert E. Kelley, William F. Kelley, and Joseph Kelley; and granddaughter Caroline Kelley.

John is survived by his brother, George C. Kelley; son, John H. Kelley, Jr (Debbie) of Hurley, Miss.; daughter, Kaye M. Reed (Bob) of Virginal Beach, Va.; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held on Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. in the sanctuary at Forest Home Baptist Church, followed by graveside burial at Forest Home Cemetery. Viewing and family visitation preceded the funeral from 12:15-12:45 p.m.
