PEARLIE ACEMAN SCOTT

Pearlie Aceman Scott, 76 years old passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at her place of resident in Greenville. She was born on Aug. 28, 1948, in Greenville to Lee Edward and Minnie Lee Aceman.

She was a devoted, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend who touched the lives of many. She worked as a cook at Alabama Grill, Holiday Inn, and retired as a food prep at Shoney’s located in Greenville. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping and spending the time with her family.

She made herself available to help young mothers by managing their childcare needs. She received Christ in her life at an early age and was later baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church located in Greenville. She later joined Harrison St. Baptist Church in 2007. She moved her membership back to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a devoted member until she departed.

Pearlie Aceman Scott was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Edward & Minnie Lee Aceman; three brothers, Willie George, Rudolph (Poboy), and Willie J. Wilson; grandmother, Louella McMean; a mother to her Louise McMean; special niece, Zula Mae Wilson; two grandchildren, La’ Ricky Scott and Anfernee Aceman; and many more aunties, uncles and relatives.

She is survived by Henry Van Albritton, her life partner for 43 years; her twin brother, Earlie Aceman of Greenville; seven children, Barbara Dunklin of Orlando, Fla., Connie Aceman of Greenville, Sandra Rudolph (Larry) of Birmingham, O.C. Scott (Elizabeth) of Elgin, Ok., Delores Scott of Greenville, Roderic Scott of Orlando, Fla., and Janaldo Scott of Greenville; 26 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; a devoted niece, Zella B. Wilson; special cousins, Ethel Bell Rudolph, Lillie Wilson, Sheila Adam and Pamela Posey; special friends, Rebecca West, Myra Jenkins, Alicia Thomas, and Sue Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held Saturday, June 14, with Minister Gary Reed Sr., officiating and Carter Rice & West Funeral Home, directing.
