FLORENCE DIANNE JOHNSON

Aug. 9, 1944 – March 31, 2025

Miss Florence Dianne Johnson, a resident of Yelm, Wash., passed away at her home on March 31, 2025.

Dianne is survived by her brother, Gerald Webb Johnson; sister-in-law, Michelle Johnson; nieces, Kristy Eubanks and Cindy Davis; and nephew, Parker Eubanks.

She was preceded in death by her father, Webb Winfred Johnson, and her mother, Florence Williams Johnson.

Dianne graduated from Greenville High School in the class of ’62. She was a member of the band and an honor student. She attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a degree in medical technology in 1966. Dianne was proud to have played in Alabama’s Million Dollar Band during the Bear Bryant/Joe Namath era.

She loved her music and her adopted home in Washington State with its forested lake environment and Mount Rainier in the background. She took pleasure in tending her garden plants and shrubs and was fond of her profession as a laboratory technologist at various hospitals and private laboratories in Washington. She was also close to a group of friends that she had originally met in Scotland during one of her sightseeing tours.

Dianne’s family would like to express its gratitude to the following for their care and support during Dianne’s illness: Providence St. Peter Hospital, Roo-Lan Health and Rehabilitation, Providence Homecare and Hospice, and Mills and Mills Funeral Home in Lacey, Wash.

Dianne is now at rest beside her beloved mother and father in Magnolia Cemetery, Greenville. She will be deeply missed by relatives, friends, and co-workers in Washington and Alabama who knew her and her gentle sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life was recently attended by friends and co-workers in Washington.
