Robert Nathaniel Foster, 69, a resident of Greenville, passed away on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025.
Funeral Services for Bob were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, at the First Baptist Church of Greenville with Brother John Girdley officiating. Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery with Dunklin Funeral Home of Greenville directing. The family received friends at the church on Thursday from 12-2 p.m.
Bob was born on Sept. 22, 1956, in Greenville. He was a 1974 graduate of Fort Dale Academy. After graduation from high school, Bob worked at The Foster Company. In 1978, Bob married Susan McFerrin. Bob held a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1980.He dedicated his life to working in that field for 49 years with 20 plus years being the Human Resources Director at Regional Medical Center. In 1990, Bob became a jeweler and owner of McFerrin’s Jewelry in Greenville.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel Davis and Robert Ellen Ewing Foster.
He is survived by his wife, Susan McFerrin Foster, of 47 years; his two children, Nathaniel and Jehle; four grandchildren, Pride, Daniel, McFerrin, and Brooke; three sisters, Helen Foster Gewin, Annette Foster Norris (Mike), and Nancy Foster Leverette (Tommy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jim Dunklin, Gale Slagley, Charles Newton, Patrick Skipper, Phillip Fouts, David Norrell, Johnny Till, and Terry Moseley.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Foster Family Legacy Fund at Fort Dale Academy or the Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Church of Greenville.
