Potato Truck visits Greenville

On Saturday, March 21, 2026, the Big Idaho® Potato Truck rolled into Greenville to bring its fun to the Big Potato Company to celebrate their 5th anniversary

The massive, 4-ton spud-on-wheels was on site for the afternoon of family-friendly fun and interactive moments.

Guests enjoyed food, took photos with the famous truck, and learned more about the Idaho Potato Commission’s nationwide tour.

Tater Team representatives Jana Spudshot and Monty Tatertight (not there actual last names) were on hand to promote Idaho® potatoes and the seven hundred family farms they grow own.

They indicated that since 2012, the Big Idaho® Potato Truck had toured the U.S. promoting Idaho® potatoes and celebrating the farmers who grow them.

They noted It has visited all 50 states and been seen by hundreds of millions, becoming one of the country’s most recognizable potato icons.

Jana and Monty, who have visited 10 states so far, were next headed to Cartersville, Ga., and their next stop after would be in Orlando, Fla.

The 4-ton potato rolls coast to coast on a 72-foot-long, 13-foot-tall, 10-foot-wide flatbed.

The question everyone asks is: “Is it real?”

If it were, it would weigh 802 times more than the world’s largest recorded potato (11 pounds).

It would make over 20,000 servings of mashed potatoes or more than one million French fries.
