Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Scholarship announced
The ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Lambda Delta Zeta Chapter of Greenville, AL are pleased to announce they are currently accepting applications for their 2026 Lillian D. Gardner Scholarship.
They also want to encourage all the outstanding female high school seniors to apply for the $150,000 Zeta National Educational Foundation (ZNEF) Chairman’s Scholarship.
This life-changing opportunity is open to graduating seniors who have been accepted to institutions of higher learning. The application deadline is Feb. 1, 2026.
Applicant Criteria: Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their scholastic aptitude, academic performance, community involvement, extracurricular activities, demonstrated leadership skills, and essay response.
All Applicants: must be presently enrolled at one of the high schools in the Butler County School System; must be a female student; possess a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above at the time of the application deadline, plans to attend an accredited college or university in the 2026-2027 school year; must be involved in community service and/or organized campus activities; and demonstrate being a responsible, positive, self-disciplined, and respectful individual.
Application process:
To apply, please complete the scholarship application in full and provide all necessary documentation: an official copy of high school transcript; a completed typed essay (300-500 words); senior portrait picture or headshot; three letters of reference meeting the following criteria: one Letter from a counselor or a current teacher which evaluates your overall academic performance; two Letters from an employer, former teacher, community leader, minister, or mentor that speaks to your character.

Completed application and all the required documents must be received or postmarked by Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026.
