The display will take place in its normal spot just below Tiger Stadium (located behind Greenville Elementary School).
Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Tracy Salter, says the stadium will be open to the public for seating on the bleachers or on the field.
“Or, simply find a perfect spot in town to park your car or a pop up a comfy chair on your porch or lawn, and enjoy the beautiful fireworks display,” said Salter.
The gates to stadium seating will open at 7:30 pm and close at 9:30 pm.
Salter said that local food trucks will be on site from 7-9 p.m. in the upper parking lot.
“This is a family friendly fireworks display with an opportunity to view the show in stadium seating, and there will be tasty treats on site with local food trucks. So be sure to get out and support the event.”
Greenville Mayor Dexter McLendon said the annual Celebrate America fireworks display is a tradition and one that he along with the city council look forward to each year. “The City of Greenville has sponsored the annual fireworks show for 20 years and it’s always an impressive show enjoyed by everyone in the community.”
McLendon said this year’s show will be spectacular, and as always, the fireworks display will set the sky ablaze with a large and impressive patriotic fanfare.”
