This day in sports history

Because Alabama lost in the SEC Championship Game to Georgia 28-7, the national media and Notre Dame are raising hell.

Alabama hasn’t played well lately. I firmly believe a reason why is playing four ranked teams in a row.

First was Georgia who were 12-1 and The Tide won 24-21. The Bulldogs were ranked #5 and now are #3.

Vanderbilt came next with a 10-2 record and was ranked #16. Alabama won that game 30-14. Vandy is now #14.

Next was Misssouri who was #14 at the time, The Tide won 27-24. The Tigers are now ranked #25.,

Tennessee (8-4) followed Missouri and was #11. They are now unranked.

Alabama later played Oklahoma and Georgia again in the SEC Championship.

Alabama has a rematch with Oklahoma for the first round of playoff games. That will be game 14 and the seventh The Tide will play a ranked team.
