WHS hosts Christmas Open House

The Wilcox Historical Society welcomed the holiday season on Sunday, Dec. 7, with its annual Christmas Open House, held this year at Greenleaves, the historic home of James and Martha Grimes Lampkin in Pine Apple. The beautifully decorated 19th-century residence offered an inviting backdrop as members, guests, and visitors from the Butler County Historical and Genealogical Society (BCHGS) gathered to celebrate the season. Approximately 50 attendees enjoyed touring the festively adorned rooms, visiting with friends and fellow history enthusiasts, and partaking in an array of holiday refreshments. The warm, welcoming atmosphere reflected the spirit of community that has long defined this cherished WHS tradition. Pictured are Martha Grimes Lampkin (left) and BCHGS President Pamala Nolan.
