Greenville All Stars roundup

It was a busy weekend of softball for the Greenville softball All Stars at the Dixie State Championship in Troy this past weekend. Out of the four Greenville teams who played, Angels (10U) Ponytails (12U) Belles (15U) and Debs (19U), only the Debs won the state championship. They beat Montgomery Grey twice, 18-0 and 13-3, to claim Greenville’s second state championship in as many years. They will compete in the Dixie World Series in Alexandria, La., beginning July 20. For the tournament, the Angels went 1-2, the Ponytails went 2-2, and the Debs went 2-2. Picture below: Lauren Houston (Debs) jumps with excitement after receiving the state championship trophy.
