Choose Act offers school freedom

API has launched a website dedicated to getting information to Alabama parents about the CHOOSE Act (Alabama’s universal school choice program that was passed and signed in March 2024) and its implementation. We will be using that platform, in concert with our API website https://alabamapolicy.org, to be sure that Alabama families have the most up to date information on how to participate in the program. The CHOOSE Act requires the Alabama Department of Revenue (DOR) to establish a framework and funding for the program. The program is being administered by the tax policy division of the DOR.
